ErycTriceps has been known as a top-tier fps player ever since his PUBG days, although he was only briefly part of any pro scene when he joined Fnatic’s Fortnite team for a couple of months in late 2019. Aside from that he is known for streaming various fps titles, body building, his love for his dogs, pub-stomping and interacting with his chat. We have complied an overview of the peripherals that appear in ErycTricep’s gaming setup below, although it should be pointed out that he rarely streams with a face-cam.

WHAT MONITOR DOES ERYCTRICEPS USE?

ErycTriceps uses a BenQ XL2540 monitor. The BenQ ZOWIE XL2540 is a 24.5″ gaming monitor that offers a maximum resolution of 1920 x 1080p at a refresh rate of 240Hz @ 1ms (GtG).

Its TN LCD panel has a 0.28 x 0.28mm pixel pitch and a dynamic contrast ratio of 12M:1 and a maximum brightness of 400 cd/㎡. Furthermore, stand allows for a lot of adjustability, as it can be tilted -5°~20°, swiveled -45°~45°, pivoted 90° and height increased up to 14cm (5.51”) for dimensions of 57 x 44.6~51.5 x 22.6cm (22.4 x 17.6~20.3 x 8.9″). It is also VESA wall-mounting compatible.

It also features a few useful technologies such as its Low Blue Light filter to protect against eyestrain, and Black eQualizer to brighten dark scenes so as to spot enemies. Other features include its Flicker-Free and Color Vibrance integration. It is also FreeSync and NVIDIA G-Sync compatible. These will require the relevant videos cards, though.

WHAT MOUSE DOES ERYCTRICEPS USE?

ErycTriceps uses a Logitech G Pro X Superlight mouse. The Logitech G PRO X Superlight is an ultra-lightweight gaming mouse that comes to only 63g (2.2oz.) This was accomplished by making its construction from light plastic, forgoing lighting options and only offering five programable buttons. These buttons comprise of the clickers, scroll wheel and two side buttons that are located on the right thumb side. As it does not have a dedicated dpi button, you may want to assign one of the side buttons with this function.

It is fitted with a Hero 25K optical sensor that offers a range of between 100 – 25,400 dpi that can be adjusted in increments of 50, with the potential to store up to 5 dpi profiles directly on the mouse. WHAT MOUSEPAD DOES ERYCTRICEPS USE?

ErycTriceps uses a black Glorious 3XL mousepad. ErycTricep’s gaming setup includes a fairly popular mousepad that can also be found in the setup’s of LVNDMARK and Chap. It is quite the table hog at 61 x 0.3 x 121.9cm (48″x24″x0.12″) and is made from a cloth fabric that is attached to a rubberized base with glue and anti-fray stitching. This base helps to prevent the pad from sliding during use. It weighs 1.42kg (2.2lbs) and can be rolled up for storage. It is also machine-washable.

WHAT KEYBOARD DOES ERYCTRICEPS USE?

ErycTriceps uses a SteelSeries Apex Pro TKL keyboard. This is the tenkeyless version of the SteelSeries Apex Pro. Its main, and pretty impressive, feature is that it is integrated with OmniPoint mechanical switches that can be easily adjusted on a per-key basis on-the-fly via its OLED smart display screen. Their actuation point can be set between 0.4 – 3.6mm and operate at an actuation force of 45.9G. Another notable feature is its report rate of 0.7ms for its 1,000Hz polling rate.

Furthermore, it is constructed from a Series 5000 aircraft-grade aluminum alloy frame and its switches are topped with removable PVC keycaps. It also offers 6 macro profiles, as well as full-key rollover and anti-ghosting, as well as three-way cable routing on its underside. Its compact size allows for more mouse room for gaming. WHAT MICROPHONE DOES ERYCTRICEPS USE?

ErycTriceps uses a Rode NT1KIT microphone. The Rode NT1 is a large-diaphragm condenser microphone that is a rebuilt and upgraded version of the NT1-A. The KIT contains comes with a shock mount, detachable pop filter, microphone dust cover in addition to the mic, but it does not contain a cable. Its chassis is constructed from sturdy aluminum, plated with nickel and then coasted with military-grade ceramic to protect it from scratch marks.

Its cardioid polar pattern operates on a side-address and provides a frequency response range of 20 – 20,000Hz at a nominal impedance of 100Ω. It also offers a dynamic range of 128 dB SPL at a 90dB SNR. Its self noise is a 4.5 dB (A.) WHAT WEBCAM DOES ERYCTRICEPS USE?

ErycTriceps uses a Logitech BRIO webcam. ErycTricep’s gaming setup feature the Logitech BRIO which is a plug-and-play webcam that can record at resolutions of 4K at 30fps, 1080p at 30 or 60fps and 720p at 30, 60 or 90fps. It also offers three field of view options of 65°, 78°, and 90°, as well as autofocus and light-adjustment features. Furthermore, there are two omnidirectional microphones as well as a detachable privacy shutter. It is only compatible with Windows 7 or later, Mac OS 10.10 or later and Chrome OS PC devices.

WHAT MIXER DOES ERYCTRICEPS USE?

ErycTriceps uses a Rode AI-1 audio interface paired with a TC-Helicon GoXLR mixer. The GoXLR is one of the most popular mixers among streamers, with some examples being the gaming setups of CohhCarnage, Danucd and Kephrii. It is a 4-channel mixer that can provide +48V of phantom power and 70Db of gain. It also has RGB lighting options.

These four channels are dedicated to Mic, Chat, Music and System controls. Each have their own dedicated volume slider and mute button. However, it is intended for solo recording as it can only handle one audio input and one headphone input at a time. These need to be powered by either and XLR cable or a TS/TRSTRRS jack.

It has options to create and alter a variety of vocal effects that can be manipulated directly on the GoXLR. These include Reverb, Pitch Echo, Robot, Megaphone and HardTune. There are many other advanced options available through its software. Its sample section enables user to intersperse their live recordings with short bursts of preset sounds, while another section of the board includes muting and bleep options.

On the other hand, the Rode AI-1 is a single channel USB audio-interface that can connect either one 3-pole XLR cable or one ¼-inch instrument jack. It also comes with a USB-A to USB-C cable. This connects the USB-C port on the interface to a regular USB port on your computer.
