During a recent stream, Twitch streamer Emily “Emiru” spoke with EsfandTV about a previous conversation she had with Riot Games Lead Champion Designer August. She went on to describe the types of messages League of Legends developers receive from players.
August “August” Browning, who created and designed iconic LoL champions like Jhin, Vi, Jinx, Senna, and the most recent champion, Bel’Veth, recalled a conversation with Emily. He mentioned a strange message from a fan about the League of Legends champion, Senna, while on the phone with the Twitch streamer.
Emiru played a variety of games during a five-hour stream earlier today. The Twitch streamer got on a voice call with EsfandTV and played League of Legends during the second half of her broadcast.
As the game loaded, the One True King (OTK) member recalled a previous conversation she had with August and discussed some of the messages the latter receives from the game’s playerbase on a regular basis.
She went on to say that one of the messages August received came from a player. Emiru didn’t want to repeat the player’s exact words because she thought they were offensive. She did, however, imply what the player had actually said.
The League of Legends match then started, and the streamer duo continued to talk while playing.
The streamer’s account of the Riot Games developer receiving messages from fans drew a lot of attention from fans. August’s champion designs were panned by some Redditors.
Emiru is a popular content creator who rose to prominence after joining OTK earlier this year. She has over 940k followers on Twitch and has played and streamed League of Legends for 1,873 hours.
