An In-Depth Look At Dendi’s Gaming Setup

Dendi has been a staple of the professional Dota 2 circuit since 2010 when he began competing with Natus Vincere (Na’Vi). Even though he has since moved on to create his own team, B8, he has maintained his status as a top-tier player, as well as his laid-backed and goofy personality. HyperX has sponsored Dendi’s gaming setup and we have supplied an overview below of their peripherals that he has chosen to enhance his competitive edge.

Dendi uses a HyperX Pulsefire Dart mouse.  The HyperX Pulsefire Dart is a wireless gaming mouse that can also be used as a wired mouse with its charging cable. It has an ergonomic design that is suited for right-handed users who prefer either claw or palm grip. Its Pixart PMW 3389 optical sensor offers a DPI range of 200 – 16,000Hz that can be set in increments of 50 via the HyperX NGENUITY software.

The preset ranges are at 800, 1600 and 3200SPI, but the mouse allows for a maximum of 5 DPI levels to be stored onboard. Although it does not include LED indicator light, the RGB lighting can be set to change colors based on the current DPI level. The polling rates can be switched between 1,000, 500, 250, or 125Hz.

It is constructed from plastic and the right and left clickers are set with Omron switches. Both they and the remaining four buttons are fully programable. However, only one macro profile can be stored onboard. It has dimensions of 12.5 x 7.4 x 4.4cm (4.9 x 2.9 x 2.3″) and weighs 112g (5.29oz.) Additionally, there are leatherette side grips for extra comfort.

Dendi uses HyperX Fury Speed Edition mousepad. Dendi’s gaming setup includes the XL version of the HyperX Fury Speed mousepad. With dimensions of 90 x 42 x 0.4cm (35.4 x 16.5 x 0.16”,) it is big enough to comfortably fit both a mouse and full-size keyboard with room to spare. It has seamless, anti-fray stitching that joins the cloth surface to the texture rubber base. Its base helps to keep it from slipping during use.

Dendi uses a HyperX Alloy Origins keyboard. Dendi uses the full-sized version of this wired gaming keyboard. It comes with the option of three switches namely, HyperX Aqua (Tactile), Blue (Clicky) and Red (Linear), but he hasn’t specified which type he has opted for.

They all operate at an actuation point of 1.8mm and have a total travel distance of 3.8mm. The Blue requires and actuation force of 50G, while the others need 45G.

Additionally, it can store up to 3 macro profiles onboard. These, along with the RGB effects, can be set through the HyperX NGENUITY. The 5 brightness levels can be set directly on the keyboard. Its chassis is made from aircraft-grade aluminum and the switches are set with removable ABS keycaps. It also has 2-step adjustable feet that allow the keyboard to have angle options of 3°, 7°, or 11°. Otherwise, its overall dimensions are 44.3 x 13.3 x 3.6cm (17.4 x 5.2 x 1.5″) with a weight of 1.08kg (2.4lbs). It also comes with a 1.8m (5.9ft) detachable, braided cable that has USB-C to USB-A connectors.

Dendi uses a HyperX Alpha S headset. The HyperX Alpha S is the 7.1 Surround Sound version of the HyperX Cloud Alpha headset and is available in three color options. Dendi’s gaming setup boasts the Blackout version. It is a wired gaming headset that is fitted wit 50mm Dual Chamber drivers that provide a frequency response range of 13 – 27,000Hz and operate at a nominal impedance of 65 Ω.

They are constructed on an aluminum frame with plastic casing on the earcups. The earcups have a closed-backed, over-ear design that helps with noise-cancellation, as do its leatherette-covered earpads. Its headband is also leatherette-padded and can be adjusted. It has a detachable microphone with a bidirectional polar pattern. Its condenser capsule provides an impressive 50 – 18,000Hz response range that is both TeamSpeak and Discord certified.

Furthermore, it is compatible with PC, Mac, Nintendo Switch, PS4, Xbox One and mobile devices and weighs 320g (11.29oz) with its microphone. The braided cable is 2m (6.56ft) and fitted with an audio control mixer. There are also bass adjustment sliders on one of their earcups.

Dendi uses a HyperX QuadCast microphone. The HyperX QuadCast is a plug-and-play USB microphone that was designed with content creators in mind. It metal chassis is integrated with three 14mm condensers that allow it to provide options for stereo, omnidirectional, unidirectional, and bidirectional polar patterns. This is impressive, as it provides the user with a great deal of flexibility, as it can be used either solo with noise-cancelling functions, or for multi-person recordings. This is useful for podcasting.

It also features an internal pop-filter to filter out unwanted plosive sounds caused by mouth noises, as well as internal shock-mounting to avoid contact noise interference. Additionally, it also comes with a desk stand as well as a 3/8″ and 5/8″ mount adapter.
