Cloud9 Blue and 100 Thieves will face off in the first weekend of action in the 2022 NA VALORANT Champions Tour Stage One Challengers main event.
On today, the VALORANT esports team finally revealed the full schedule for the entire North American main event, revealing that it will be played in a three-day set of matches, with each team playing once on Friday and Sunday.
C9 Blue will face 100T in a rematch of the NA Last Chance Qualifier lower final on the opening weekend, which begins on February 11th.
100T was the only team in the group of four to receive direct invites to make roster changes, and they will face C9 Blue with their new players in BabyJ and ec1s. Since that LCQ defeat, 100T hasn’t played an official match.
On February 11th, two of the open qualifier teams in Version1 and the Pittsburgh Knights will face off for the rest of the week. At 3 p.m. CT, both the C9 vs. 100T and the V1 vs. Knights matches will begin. Sentinels will take on NRG on Saturday, February 12th, while The Guard will take on Luminosity. On Sunday, February 13th, Envy will take on Rise, while XSET will take on Evil Geniuses.
The top four teams in their group will advance to the double-elimination playoff bracket, which begins on March 17th, after each team plays the other teams in their group once. In April, the top two teams from the bracket will represent North America at the year’s first international Masters LAN. The group distribution first reported by Dot Esports was confirmed by Riot’s post today.
The matches will be broadcast live on Twitch and YouTube by VALORANT Esports. Co-streams with partners will also be available.
