CallMeCarsonLIVE is known as one of the top comedic Minecraft content creators on both Twitch and YouTube, although he did start out primarily on YouTube. Over the past couple of years especially, he has gained wider recognition and even among other streamers such as Pokimane who has called him a ‘comedic genius.’ As his main focus is to provide entertainment to his viewers, we have provided a list below of the equipment that has been included in CallMeCarsonLive’s gaming setup for those of you who are interested in discovering what he uses to produce his quality content.

WHAT MOUSE DOES CALLMECARSONLIVE USE?

CallMeCarsonLIVE uses a Razer DeathAdder Chroma mouse. The Razer DeathAdder Chroma Is a wired RGB gaming mouse with an ergonomic design. It is designed for right-handed gamers and has two macro buttons on the right-thumb side above the rubber texturized thumb-rest. Other programable buttons include the two dpi buttons beneath the scroll wheel that are preset with 450, 900, 1800 and 3500dpi options, as well as another profile changing button on its underside. However, these can be adjusted between 100 – 10,000dpi in increments of 50 through the downloadable Razer Synapse software.

Its 4G optical sensor is also capable of tracking at 200ips with an acceleration of 50g. It also has three polling rate options of either 125Hz (8ms), 500Hz (2ms) or 1,000Hz (1ms). It has dimensions of 12.8 x 7.01 x 4.39cm (5.04 x 2.76 x 1.73”), which makes it better suited for users with bigger hands and it weighs around 104.9g (3.7oz).

WHAT KEYBOARD DOES CALLMECARSONLIVE USE?

 

CallMeCarsonLIVE uses a Razer BlackWidow TE keyboard. The Razer BlackWidow Tournament Edition keyboard is a tenkeyless version of the Razer BlackWidow keyboard that was originally produced in 2014 and is no longer offered on Razer’s official site since there is now an updated V2 model available for around the same price when on special, or $30 when not.

He has opted for the stealth version that is set with Silent Razer Orange Switches. These offer an actuation force of 45G with a travel distance of 4mm, an actuation point of 1.9mm and an actuation vs reset point of 0.05mm. Although it is meant to be silent, some users feel that this isn’t exactly true, so it might be worth listening to a sample click here.

This wired keyboard doesn’t come with LED or RGB backlighting options, but does have media control options via the function keys. It is built from solid plastic and in at 2.09lbs

WHAT MICROPHONE DOES CALLMECARSONLIVE USE?

CallMeCarsonLIVE uses a Shure SM7B microphone. The Shure SM7B is an XLR cardioid -patterned dynamic microphone that comes with internal ‘air suspension’ shock isolation and pop-filter to isolate for unwanted electrical interference and plosive sounds from filtering through into recordings. It also comes with a removable external windscreen to further prevent against plosives.

It offers a frequency response range of 50 – 20,000Hz with a nominal impedance of 150ohms and a sensitivity of -50dB. The high-press filter switch and boot button on its base further help to enhance the overall audio output quality. Its XLR cable and audio interface will need to be purchased separately. It doesn’t require phantom power.

WHAT WEBCAM DOES CALLMECARSONLIVE USE?

CallMeCarsonLIVE uses a Logitech C922 webcam. CallMeCarsonLives’s gaming setup includes to same webcam that appears in those of TSM_Bjergsen, KingRichard and Beaulo. It is a standard plug-and-play webcam that easily clips on to flatscreen monitors. It can record at either 1080p at 1080 fps or 720p at 60fps and can be adjusted for a 78 field of vision and panned via its software. It comes with a 3-month free trial of XSplit, as well as a tripod stand. The C922x version comes with a six-month free-trial and no tripod stand.

WHAT MIXER DOES CALLMECARSONLIVE USE?

CallMeCarsonLIVE uses a TC Helicon GoXLR mixer. The TC Helicon GoXLR is a 4-channel mixer that allows for one microphone and one headphone to be inputted at a time, for either a TS/TRS/TRRS or XLR connector.It is capable of producing +40V phantom power and can also provide up to 70dB of gain.

The other two channels are for chat and system functions, with all four having dedicated volume sliders and mute buttons on the left-half of the device. The right side is divided into three parts. The upper part controls vocal effects such as reverb and gender-bending, while the bottom section it divided into pre=programmed live sound-effects and short-term mic-muting buttons.
