B0aty is one of the top RuneScape streamers on Twitch and is known for his sense of humor, chat interaction, iron-man runs and PKing. His place among the top-content creators is unsurprising given that he is one of the OG OSRS streamers who has been consistently producing content since 2011 and streaming fulltime since 2015.

Although Old School RuneScape doesn’t really require the most advanced equipment, a high-quality stream does. Therefore, we have provided a list of the peripherals that has been included in B0aty’s gaming setup.

 

WHAT MONITOR DOES B0ATY USE?

B0aty uses an ASUS Swift PG279Q monitor. The PG279Q is a 27-inch gaming monitor that offers a resolution of 2560 x 1440p with a refresh rate of 165Hz and response rate of 4ms. Its integrated Eye Care Technology provides the user with a low blue light mode with four different settings to help prevent eye strain.

Its stand is height adjustable for between 0 to 12 cm (0 to 4.73”). The screen can be swiveled between 60° and -60°, to pivoted clockwise to 90° and tilted between 20° and -5°. It also has 100 x 100mm VESA wall-mounting capabilities and has dimensions of 61.8 x 55.3 x 23.8cm (9.4 x 24.4 x 21.8-inch) with the stand.

WHAT MOUSE DOES B0ATY USE?

B0aty uses a Logitech G Pro wireless gaming mouse. The Logitech G Pro wireless is possibly the most popular gaming mouse among streamers, and can be found the setups of streamers such as Dyrus, xQcOW and Beaulo, to name a few. It utilizes an ergonomic ambidextrous design, as well as options of up to eight programable buttons. This includes the removable buttons that can be placed two a piece on either or both sides, power switch and scroll wheel.

The Hero 3 optical sensor offers a range of between 100 – 16,000Hz dpi. The dpi button on the underside of the mouse can store up to five profiles that be set in increments of 50. These, as well as the RGB lights can be set through the Logitech G Hub software. When the RGB lights are turned off, the battery can last up to 63 hours and it can also be used while it is charging on its 1.8m (70.86”) cable.

Its dimensions are 3.82 x 62.15 x 11.66cm (1.57 x 2.5 x 4.92 inches) and it weighs 79g (2.8oz.) Furthermore, its four 100% PTFE feet allow for tracking speeds of up to 250km.

WHAT MOUSEPAD DOES B0ATY USE?

B0aty uses a SteelSeries Large Classic (QCK+) mousepad. The SteelSeries QcK+ is a micro-woven cloth mousepad with dimensions of 45 x 40 x 0.2cm (17.72 x 15.75 x 0.08”.) It has a non-slip rubber underside to prevent it from moving during gameplay. It can be rolled up for storage or transportation purposes.

WHAT KEYBOARD DOES B0ATY USE?

B0aty uses a Ducky Shine 7 keyboard. The Ducky Shine 7 is constructed with a Zinc Alloy top case as well as PBT double-shot seamless key caps. There are six switch-options (Black, Blue, Silver Brown, Red or Silent Red) all of which have a polling rate of 1,000Hz and offer optional N-key or 6-key rollover settings. Its stand can be adjusted to three different levels, and it has dimensions of 17.72 x 5.12 x 1.5” (45.8 x 13.4 x 3.8cm) and weigh 1.44kg (3.09oz.)

WHAT HEADSET DOES B0ATY USE?

B0aty uses Focal Clear headphones. B0aty’s gaming setup includes the gray version of the Focal Clear headphones. They have an over-ear design and the 20mm (7.9”) micro-perforated earpads are cushioned with lambskin leather-covered memory foam.

Their open-backed design provides a stereo sound experience, while the headphones themselves are fitted with 40mm (1.6”) Beryllium “M” shape dome-shaped drivers that offer a frequency response range of 5 – 28,000Hz, a low impedance of 55 Ohms and a sensitivity 104dB SPL / 1mW @1kHz. WHAT MICROPHONE DOES B0ATY USE?

B0aty uses an Audio Technica AT4040 microphone. This is a unidirectional cardioid condenser microphone that offers a frequency response range of 20 – 20,000Hz, a sensitivity of -32dB and a nominal impedance of 100Ohms. Its maximum input level is at 145sB SPL, with a dynamic range of 133dB and a signal-to-noise ratio of 82dB. The condenser is externally polarized (DC bias).

It has dimensions of 27.94 x 24.89 x 11.43cm (11 x 9.8 x 4.5”). Its base is constructed from solid plastic with a flat roll-off switch and 10dB pad.

It comes with an AT8449 shock mount, microphone dust cover, captive stand nut and carrying case, but the XLR cable and audio interface with 48V phantom-power capabilities will need to be purchased separately.

WHAT WEBCAM DOES B0ATY USE?

B0aty uses a Sony a7 iii camera. This is a high-end professional camera that provides specs that are far beyond the needs of a basic gaming/chatting stream. It has a 24.2MP BSI full frame 35mm (13.78”) image sensor that provides a data processing speed of 1.8x, as well as 693 phase detection and 425 contrast AF points with 93% image coverage. Its lens has 4D focus capabilities that allow for a range of 100 – 51,200 ISO, which can be expanded to 50 – 2,048,007 by purchasing other Sony E Mount lenses. It offers a UHD resolution of 2160p.

The Sony a7 iii has in-built image stabilization, as well as a 15-stop dynamic range, 14-bit uncompressed RAW and a battery life that can last up to 200 minutes with continuous shooting. It is also Bluetooth 4.0+-compatible with mobile phones that have either Android 5.0 or later, or iOS.

WHAT MIXER DOES B0ATY USE?

B0aty uses a Behringer Xenyx Q802USB mixer. B0aty’s gaming setup features the USB version of the Xenyx Q802. It is an 8-channel mixer with two microphone inputs, both of which have a dedicated gain knob that can go up to 60dB. This is useful if you are planning on doing podcasts, or other forms of dual vocal recordings. The rest of the inputs are suitable for ¼” jacks It is capable of providing +48V of phantom power. There is also a small range of meters in the bottom right corner of the device. There is only one headphone output with its own volume control knob in the main section in the bottom right corner.

There are four columns of channel controls, each of which have three band equalizer knobs for high, mid and low ranges, an FX control feed knob and a left/right pan knob.  Other input/outputs include the Control Room and Main outputs and Stereo Auxiliary Return
