The news that Fortnite‘s Zero Build feature is here to stay has sent shockwaves through the Twitch community, to the point where Asmongold may be making a comeback.
Epic Games made the decision after receiving an overwhelmingly positive response from the game’s community, which included big names from the Fortnite Battle Royale streaming scene like Ninja, Dr Disrespect, and Tfue returning to the game.
Obviously, this drew a lot of attention in the comments section. Asmongold was one of those people, and he was usually seen playing games like Raiders of the Lost Ark, World of Warcraft, and other MMORPGs.
While Epic Games clarified that Fortnite’s building mechanic had been temporarily disabled and would return at the end of March, the major change in the battle royale mode has been made permanent, surprising everyone.
Soon after, Asmongold responded, announcing something that perhaps none of his viewers could have predicted in a million years: a return to Fortnite.
While this may come as a shock to Asmongold’s fans, the timing could not be more ideal for him to make such a move. Since they removed the mechanic, the Build vs. No Build debate has become a viral phenomenon, with the game’s community divided and big streamers flocking back to the map in droves.
It’s unclear whether this will be a one-off stream or a more regular feature on his Twitch channel in the coming weeks, but the latter possibility could hinge on gameplay.
