The Twitch emotes used by streaming phenom Kaitlyn ‘Amouranth’ Siragusa may have caused the site to crash, and the OnlyFans star is investigating.
Amouranth is one of the most well-known female streamers on the internet right now, taking the title from well-known figures like Valkyrae and Pokimane. Unfortunately, her popularity appears to have caused a serious glitch because none of her emotes are functioning on Twitch, making it impossible for her fans to show their support. Amouranth outlined the scenario and what she thinks is creating this particular problem in a series of tweets.
The hot tub streamer claims that she has risen to the top streamer on the website in terms of gifting subscriptions, which might be contributing to the difficulties.
She said, “Apparently, I am the #1 most gifted to sub channel/personality on Twitch, and now I can’t open my emotes because media assets bug out while trying to load.”
Siragusa added that some followers like offering her subs to their favorite streamers as a form of teasing them by tricking them into believing that she subscribed herself via Twitch’s notifications. She now has access to all of their emotes but is unable to ever load them. Amouranth might disable the possibility to receive gifted subscriptions, as some users have remarked, but she thinks that would be unhelpful.
She said; “That would be hyper bad for exposure tho right? Like at the cost of losing my emotes I get 1000s of channels to repeatedly acknowledge I exist.”
It remains to be seen whether Twitch can correct this issue, but it is unquestionably a very unusual circumstance that appears to be affecting solely the top female streamer.
