Adin Ross Shares Thoughts About Gambling Being Banned On Twitch

Adin Ross was one of many well-known streamers who enjoyed hosting sponsored gambling streams on Twitch; when the Amazon-owned service decided to outlaw them in September 2022, Ross didn’t appear to be pleased.

In the months that have gone since then, his seeming bitterness hasn’t either. The outspoken streamer blasted Twitch for harshly penalizing gambling streams while ignoring hot tub streams, which he claims fall under the “same category,” during his stream on January 22.

He said; “You guys banned gambling. You guys moved on it quick. But I think we have a problem, Twitch. I think there’s the hot tub streams, bro. I think it should be banned from Twitch.”

The 22-year-old star compared hot tub streaming to “soft porn,” asserting that they act as a gateway to OnlyFans, which is in turn “promoting poison” and “feeding addiction” in a manner similar to that of gambling streams. Ross continued by declaring that he doesn’t care if people agree with him or not and that his viewpoint is simply a fact which dissenting fans amusingly pointed out is a paradoxical statement. They also criticized him for making out with an NSFW creator while live streaming, saying that this undermines his case because it legitimizes the issue he is criticizing.

Ross is not the only streamer who is opposed to hot tubs. They were reportedly dubbed “the most pathetic thing we’ve seen on Twitch in forever,” according to xQc, who pushed Twitch to get rid of them. Nevertheless, they are now typical on the site. They even have a category of their own. However, there is an easy way for viewers to block them if they so choose, which can be found here. There is a means for users to filter them, even if it seems doubtful that Twitch will ban them.
