Aceu hails from a small town in Indiana where he didn’t have much else to do aside from playing video games with his stepfather and friends. This hobby wound up being the breakthrough into the pro-gaming scene that he had been hoping for as he was soon maining Apex Legends and had signed with NRG by March 2019. WHAT MONITOR DOES ACEU USE?
Aceu uses a BenQ ZOWIE XL2546 24.5-inch 240Hz Gaming Monitor. The BENQ XL2546 is a 24.5-inch gaming monitor. Its screen features a 1920×1080 resolution, 240Hz refresh rate and 1ms with a power consumption of 55W. This combination is designed to reduce lagging and blurriness during high-paced games, making it perfect for the fps games that aceu favors. It also has built-in adjustable and removable side shields which serve to block out background distractions from his peripheral vision while he is trying to focus on his gameplay.
WHAT MOUSE DOES ACEU USE?
Aceu’s gaming setup includes a FinalMouse Ultralight 2 Cape Town. The FinalMouse Ultralight 2 Cape Town is a wired, plug-and-play gaming mouse that is an upgrade of the original FinalMouse model. It is constructed from a matte plastic chassis dotted with honeycomb holes. It also features no lighting options so as to bring it to an extremely light weight of just 47g (1.66oz.) Its dimensions of 11.5 x 5.3 x 3.57cm (4.53 x 2.09 x 1.4”) coupled with an ergonomic, symmetrical design makes it more suited to users with small to medium-sized hands who favor either a claw or fingertip grip style. However, one of its main features are the three sets of infinity skins that it comes with. Each set has a different thickness which allows the user to adjust the shape and size according to their preferred grip and hand shape. They can be layered on top of each other and are easily removeable.
It is set with a Pixart 3360 Optical sensor that offers a maximum DPI of 3,200. It comes with preset DPI levels of 400, 600, 1600 and 3200 that can be toggled between with the DPI button located below the scroll wheel. These are fixed and cannot be reset through the software. It operates at a polling rate of 500Hz and a response rate of 500Hz. Furthermore, its maximum acceleration is at 50G with a maximum speed of 250IPS.
WHAT KEYBOARD DOES ACEU USE?
Aceu uses a Ducky One 2 Mini Pure White keyboard. This 60% RGB keyboard tries to save gamers as much desk space as possible by including only the most basic keys and smallest border. Its compact size is also designed to be easily transportable. It has four thin grips on its underside to help keep it in place, as well as 3 level adjustable feet that can be flipped out if wanted.
WHAT MICROPHONE DOES ACEU USE?
Aceu uses an Audio-Technica AT2020USB+ microphone. The AT2020 is a unidirectional cardioid condenser microphone is among those that are commonly used by streamers, most likely due to a combination of the audio output quality and affordability. It’s also important to note that you will need a separate vocal recording device from either a dedicated microphone or a headset, as the audio output of the C920 isn’t so clear.
For an idea of the video output quality as compared to other makes, there are plenty of YouTube videos that you can check out. Nevertheless, this is a decent webcam to start out with at least until you earn enough to justify investing in more expensive equipment.
WHAT MIXER DOES ACEU USE?
Aceu uses a TC Helicon GoXLR mixer. The TC Helicon GoXLR is a compact, Windows-compatible mixer that has one XLR input slot and one TS/TRS/TRRS microphone jack. As it can only handle a single input source, it is best suited for streamers or solo vocalists over those who intend to do multi-party podcasts in a live studio. In addition to a preamp that can support a gain of up to 70 Db, it also has four volume sliders as well as various buttons and knobs to allow for voice sampling, audio effects and muting audio, among other functions.
